The exhibition theme “Light & Shadow” evokes in me images of contrasting light that can be found in North Queensland, from the cool lighting of tropical gardens to the harsh midday sun. I like to contrast this midday light with the cooler atmosphere and shadows found indoors and during dusk.

I am inspired by people and places as well as my own surroundings. I also have a passion for colour and I am drawn to subjects, which are vibrant and colourful. I find images for this in my own surroundings from a Café at dusk to a tropical garden.
