portrait Artist's Statement

I am an Australian artist based in North Queensland, Australia. I studied fine art at James Cook University where I attained a Bachelor of Visual Arts in 2001, majoring in painting and drawing. Since finishing university I have and have exhibited my work through many local galleries in both solo and group exhibitions. Thanks to my collectors I have work in public and private collections both in Australia and Internationally.
In 2004 I completed a Graduate Diploma in Multimedia focusing on Web site Development, Digital Video and Animation.

My work is dominated by colour and I use this in many ways, to create an illusion of dimension and space and to portray a moment in time.
